Sam's Club pallet requirements (2026)
What Sam's Club's published Structural Packaging Standards say about pallets: block or pooled only, no stringer or GMA pallets.
What the standard says
- Sam's Club's Structural Packaging Standards (Version 6, July 2026) say domestic programs are required to ship on block, CHEP, PECO or iGPS pallets: a 48x40 nine-block pallet with true four-way entry.
- It states that stringer pallets, GMA pallets, CHEP Europe pallets and corrugated or paperboard pallets are not allowed and will be rejected.
- Suppliers may lease from approved pallet poolers or buy one-way whitewood nine-block pallets that meet Grade A. The standard also states support for ISPM 15 wood packaging requirements.
For your pallet account
If you ship Sam's Club on pooled pallets, declare each load to the receiving club or DC location, with the BOL. Check the current standard and your buyer before changing anything: documents are revised.
